Opening Reception, “Get Fried up!”
Friday, April 18, 7pm -11pm
The show opens its doors at 7pm. ‘Teacher With a Bus’
founder Jens-Peter Jungclaussen will be presenting his vegetable-oil
fueled bus and speaking on the latest news and controversies
on biodiesel and alternative fuels. Delicious finger foods
fried in organic olive oil (later to be fuel for the bus)
will be served throughout the evening along with cocktails
from our sponsor
Veev. Knoend will begin taking patients in their ReLife Clinic
- a special clinic that designs the next lifecycles for objects.
Show-goers are encouraged to bring photographs of personal
objects that need a new life.
Econnovation Workshop “Unpeak Energy”
Wednesday, May 7, 6:30-8:30pm
Knoend and Scully Design invited John Humphrey from Sustainable
Energy Partners to come speak about the array of clean energy
projects that his company has undertaken. Following the talk,
workshop participants will break into small groups to formulate
ideas on how to tackle our energy crisis. At the end, each
group presents their ideas generated within the hour. Limited

O2 Bay Area Forum, “Sign, then Act“
New Date and Time: Friday, June 6, 7pm-8:30pm
O2 Bay Area has invited Valerie Casey, founder of the Designer’s
Accord to present and lead a discussion on what it means to
become an adopter of the accord. The Designers Accord is a
call
to arms for the creative community to reduce the environmental
impact caused by design, and to work collaboratively to inspire
sustainable change. O2 Bay Area is the San Francisco Bay Area
chapter of the o2 Global Network, an international ecodesign
association with active members worldwide. Limited capacity.

Closing Party, “Sew the Moment“
Thursday June 19, 7pm-11pm
At 7pm, Miranda Caroligne and Joui Turnadot will speak about
various ecodesign strategies that are considered when making
eco garments. A Q&A with will ensue after, followed by
live clothing construction and a model show towards the latter
half of the evening. Attendees are encouraged to bring clothing
that can be de/reconstructed during the evening. Knoend will
also unveil a new life of the object that entered surgery
at the ReLife Clinic at the beginning of the show. Organic
horderves will be provided along with cocktails by our sponsor
Veev.
